Rachel Rode

Rachel Rode is a family counselor, play therapist and child counselor.

M.S., LPC

Rachel Rode is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned her masters degree in counseling from Southern Methodist University, her bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and graduated from the Episcopal School of Dallas. Rachel has received training in Play Therapy, Activity Therapy, and Family Therapy. She has experience counseling children, adolescents, & teens, along with their families, and adults from her work at the SMU Center for Family Counseling and Galaxy Counseling Center.


Rachel has been with PCCFC since 2014. Rachel specializes in working with children and their families through a collaborative and open environment. She encourages growth in children by building a trusting relationship with them in conjunction with meeting with their parents regularly and employing therapeutic parenting strategies. Rachel utilizes person/child centered therapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapeutic strategies. 


​Rachel is a member of the North Texas Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy.Rachel has been riding and showing horses since childhood in the hunter/jumper discipline and resides in Dallas with her husband, daughter, and blue tick beagle mix, Pepper.
